Floor Buschenhenke
in 2014 I worked at the Huygens ING as a researcher on the project Beyond the Book, under Karina van Dalen-Oskam's wings. In this project we (also Marijn Koolen from the UvA, Carlos Martinez from the Escience center) are looking at cultural references in novels and their representation on wikipedia. We are hoping to come up with a measure for the 'international appeal' of novels. I would really like to continue working in this field of computational literary studies and hope to do a PhD some day. Apart from my research activities, I also enjoy creative writing (I'm a published poet), book editing, freelance writing and reading, reading, reading.
